Amberley Museum, South Downs, West Sussex, UK.
Amberley Museum was established in 1979 to preserve the rapidly disappearing industrial history of the south east. It includes a “Printing Works” with letterpress equipment.

Armory Center for the Arts, Pasadena, California.

Basler Papiermühle, Basel, Switzerland.
(In English: Swiss Museum for Paper, Writing, and Printing) The Basel Paper Mill includes a working display of hot metal casting (including actual hand casting of single letters in molds similar to 15-th century molds), hand typesetting, presswork on an old sheet-fed flatbed press, and bookbinding. Beverly Heritage Center, Beverly, West Virginia.
This interpretive museum and visitor center includes the Randolph Enterprise Project, which shows how the local newspaper operated during the last quarter of the nineteenth century. Blue Ox Millworks, Eureka, California.
Watch craftsmen use antique machinery of the 1800s and early 1900s to do wood work, print and bind books, blacksmith a nail, or mix stains and varnishes. The working print shop, based upon a 1910 model, includes three presses, a newspaper press, a large collection of type, and a paper cutter. Canterbury Shaker Village Museum, Canterbury, New Hampshire.
A late 19th Century letterpress shop produces general job printing for the museum. Working equipment includes two Golding Pearl #11 presses and a Gordon Franklin 8 x 12 press, four cabinets of type, and other early letterpress printing equipment. Cheongju Early Printing Museum , Unchon-dong, Cheongju, Korea.
This museum recreates Korea's ancient printing culture for the Korean people to learn about the science and technology behind Korea's early printing arts.

Choctaw County Historical Museum, Gilbertown, Alabama.
Artifacts on display include a complete Linotype “hot lead” letterpress newspaper print shop used to produce The Choctaw Advocate in the early 1900s.

Cincinnati Museum Center, Cincinnati, Ohio.

The Gibson & Company exhibit, located in the History Museum, is a recreated job shop of the late 1850s/early 1860s that includes a Washington hand press, a C&P OS 8 x 12, and a C&P Pilot. All are operational and are used to print a variety of material including advertising broadsides and recreated historical documents. The art of wood engraving is carried on as is type founding.

Conestoga Press, Ephrata, Pennsylvania.
The Conestoga Press is part of the Historical Society of the Cocalico Valley and housed in the Carriage House of the Theodore Sprecher Museum. It is operated by volunteers most Saturday mornings and during special events. Address: 249 West Main Street, Ephrata, PA.

Crystal City Community Printing Museum, Manitoba, Canada.

The Farm Shed Museum and Tourism Centre, South Australia.

Ferrymead Heritage Park, Christchurch, New Zealand.
The Ferrymead Printing Society premises are in two parts. The smaller front entrance, a static display of printing presses and a period newspaper office, is open at all times the park is open. (Formerly Horace Mann Museum) Exhibits include a Golding printing press manufactured in the town of Franklin. Located at 80 West Central Street.

Franklin Institute Science Museum, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Ben Franklin was the godfather of American printing, and his institute includes information about his printing activities.

Genadendal Printing Works, South Africa.
This site of an old (1738) Moravian Church mission was declared a National Cultural Treasure in March 1991. There are 15 exhibition rooms with collection including household equipment, musical instruments, medical equipment, tools, books, printing presses, the oldest fire-engine, and oldest pipeorgan in the country. Georgia Weekly Newspaper Museum, Homer, Georgia.
"The purpose of the museum is to show how a typical rural weekly newspaper was published by letterpress in the era of 1888-1940, and even into the 1960s. Greenfield Village, Dearborn, Michigan.
In the Printing Office, visitors see how Americans printed items during the 1800s and early 1900s. Museum staff demonstrates a hand-powered printing press while discussing the history of print in America. Various presses are on display. Gulgong Pioneers' Museum , Gulgong, New South Wales, Australia.
The museum's working letterpress display includes an Albion Press, three Chandler & Price platen presses, a 10x15 Funival platen press, a small Wharfedale press, a Heidelberg platen, and a Miehle Vertical. Gunnersbury Park Museum, London, England, UK.
The oldest surviving metal printing press in the world, a Stanhope press made by Robert Walker in 1804 (No. 5), can be seen in the Gunnersbury Museum.

An interesting place to visit, with displays of Gutenberg's work and equipment.

Hale Pa'I (house of printing), Lahaina, Hawaii.

Hamilton Wood Type and Printing Museum, Two Rivers, Wisconsin.
View the largest wall of poster type in the world, over one million pieces of wood type, over 1000 different patterns used to produce wood type, and all of the equipment necessary for manufacturing wood type. Historic Washington State Park, Washington, Arkansas.
This park preserves many historic public and private buildings. The Printing Museum houses the State Park's collection of printing equipment. Jefferson County Historical Village, Mt. Vernon, Illinois.
Operated by the Jefferson County Historical Society, the village preserves the history of the county dating back to the time of Illinois statehood. Admission is free. Jesse Allen Luse began publishing The Marshfield Sun in 1891 and continued printing the weekly handset paper on a Washington Hand Press until his death in 1944. Robert Smail's Printing Works, Innerleithen, Borders, Scotland, UK.
Open from Easter to October. Location: High Street, Innerleithen, 6m east of Peebles; Phone: (01896) 830206. A complete working Victorian jobbing printery, established in 1857, that continued printing (letterpress only; handsetting, no hot metal) on a Columbian handpress, a Wharfdale Reliant flatbed, a couple of Falcon platens, a 1953 Heidleberg automatic platen and a treadle Arab. The machines were originally water-powered by a waterwheel in the lade underneath the building. On display are issues of The St. Ronans Standard, a weekly newspaper published from 1893 to 1916, and 50 huge guard books containing an annotated copy of every job printed. Visitors can hand-set type in the caseroom and see their efforts proofed on the Columbian press. “The best thing about Smail's is that it really is a print shop, not a collection of printing equipment, and it has an enchanting atmosphere. Rosenlöfs Tryckerimuseum, Kungsgården, Sweden.
In 1890 the Rosenlöf brothers, Helmer and Ruben, founded this typical jobbing print shop, which included a bookbindery and a stationer's shop. During the 1920s and 30s the business was at its height, with the firm employing 15 to 25 peoples. In 1938 the firm was sold to the employers. It closed in July 1974 and was left just as it had been. Taranaki Pioneer Village has a letterpress print shop based around the newspaper Egmont Settler, 1890-1903. It is housed in a copy of the old Jullet Street building.
